Veronika on the Stegerwalk

It was about 5 pm next to the fountain at Weisser Turm in Nuremberg. I’ve been watching a photo shoot where the photographer has handled his camera and a foldable reflector simultaneously in a very clever and surprising way – useful if you’re alone and have no assistant. :-).

Then I saw Veronika standing there in the middle of the crowd of models and photographers and looking around as if she was waiting for someone.

Lejla

On Sunday, the day of the Stegerwalk in Nuremberg I’ve planned an individual photo session with Lejla.

I was going to insert it somewhere “in between”, but a few days before I thought about whether I should move this session to another day just to take part in the entire walk without putting Lejla’s shoot under an unnecessary pressure. And when Lejla read about my interests in this event – she proposed it too. I don’t know really why, but finally I’ve insisted.

Janine

Last Sunday, about 500 amateur and professional photographers and models came to Nuremberg to take part in the #stegerwalk, one of the biggest meetings of this kind. Walking, taking, shooting, networking – the entire day was dedicated to the only one idea: to bring all the people on both sides of the camera together.

Alina

Last Saturday with Alina.  When we met in the city she was already waiting for me sitting on the bench by the entrance to the underground station and writing something on her mobile. In the first moment, I didn’t recognize her because her styling was so completely different than the one I knew from her profile page. We had some good chats before and much more contact than usual and I was really excited about what kind of person she is.

Walking in Nuremberg… a few days later

This morning was a terrible one. You wake up after a long exhausting week where nothing seemed to go on and multiple things happened you wished to avoid anyway but you couldn’t. You slept badly and the weather is a mess. You try to make a breakfast but the half of things you need is not there and you have to improvise. And yes! you know you should have prevented the most of that simply by a better scheduling but this certainty does not really help you ;-).

Do you know what I mean?;-)

Walking in Nuremberg

After the photo session with Nellie, the rest of the evening I spend in the old town of Nuremberg and just walked around.

Nuremberg has changed in the last 15 years. there is no boring Saturday any more and the city lives and i’s full of people. You have to wait until midnight if you want to get some empty places and it’s more the cold than the atmosphere that chases people home :).

And it was really cold in this night.

Nellie – Mayor´s Garden

The Bürgermeistergarten (Mayor’s Garden) is a wonderful and calm place on Nuremberg’s west town wall that you never find if you don’t explicitly look for it :).

You can go there for a walk or take one of the benches, sit or lay down and read a book or just relax and enjoy the sheltering distance form the din of the city. Well, it’s not absolutely quiet, you can still hear the cars driving down on the streets but it gives you a save distance and an oasis of green.

Sabine

Sabine… What is your first thought when you meet a person for the first time? Don’ t try to answer :-).  Seeing Sabine for the first time, you forget all those things you usually thing of and you have to smile because she smiles and her smile is just… overwhelming and so cute that you cannot resist :-). Oh yeah! And she’s a dancer! And still moving.

Nellie

Nellie and me we know each other since some years and we’ve talked about lots of things but never about photography. So it was real funny when I’ve joined one of the local photographers groups on Facebook last summer and we’ve suddenly realised that we’re both members there :-). Well, the idea to work together came in seconds and we’ve decided to make a photo shoot as soon as possible.

Nuremberg – Autumn 2015

Nürnberg, (en. Nuremberg), Germany,

This is My City. I loved it and hated it, than loved and hated and loved it again… :). There are so many emotions I feel when I go through these streets associated with people, occurrences, my individual development and all the things happened among all those years I lived here. But there is no question about its beauty :).
